LOOP Opti Stream$532.00Rated 5.00 out of 5
The LOOP Opti Stream is THE 5wt. Make a few casts with it and you'll already want it as your go-to. We've completely fallen in love with this rod. The Opti Stream overshadowed many in Yellowstone Angler's 5wt shootout taking the #2 spot – beating out other popular rods like the Sage One, Scott G2, Orvis Helios 2, Winston Boron III, to name a few. Doesn't hurt that it's a couple hundred dollars cheaper than said rods too.
These rods have the flexibility to cope with all casting elements. Even using an underhand-cast, you can place the line where you want it without any delay. The Opti Stream handles the situation when you need an accurate presentation. There simply isn't a better 5wt.
LOOP Opti Creek$532.00
You may or may not have noticed the LOOP's rod offerings seem to come in a random smattering of sizes. In fact, it's not random at all! LOOP doesn't follow the status quo and put out a line of rods to meet a price point. LOOP builds rods with specific application. The LOOP Opti Creek is a 3wt that has been optimized for sensitive fishing on skinny water. It is a fine-tuned instrument for small technical water that is an absolute pleasure to fish.
Loop Opti Peak$599.00
The LOOP Opti Peak is a unique stick. It's designed to cast a light line, yet handle big fish. If you are looking for a rod to cast bombers or big dry flies for salmon or large trout, the Opti Peak was built for you.
LOOP Opti Coast$599.00
We absolutely LOVE this rod! The LOOP Opti Coast is designed to handle the windy conditions found on the coast. The strong, crisp and quick action cut through the wind and allow you to touch those hard to reach rips. Both models feature our patented X-Grip handle and the blanks are made with LOOP's cross-weave technology. Never tried the X-Grip and a little gun-shy? Don't be! We've absolutely LOVED the X-grip. Although a little unusual upon first grasp, you'll find it super comfortable and the comfort lasts all day long. It requires much less effort to maintain a secure grip and leads to less arm fatigue at the end of a long day of casting.
NOTICE: This rod is definitely not just for salt! The Opti Coast makes for a KILLER streamer rod in both the 6wt and 7wt – it's been our go-to meatchucking stick. In fact, when looking for a streamer rod, the Opti Coast easily rivals the Cross S1 690-4 and 796-4 (which are also quite awesome!).
LOOP Opti River$625.00
The LOOP Opti River is a five piece 7-weight rod developed for salmon and steelhead fishing in flowing water. It's deep action makes it perfect for long underhand casts in tight spots. As for overhand casting, you'll be amazed by the power in this rod. Just watch the video in the tab below to see what we mean. The Opti River also comes with the patented X-Grip. A little gun-shy about a hexagonal grip? Don't be! We've absolutely fallen in love with the X-grip. Although a little unusual upon first grasp, you'll find it quite comfortable and the comfort lasts all day long. It leaves your hand/forearm much less fatigued and requires much less effort to maintain a secure grip. Made with Cross Weave technology it is as durable as it gets.
LOOP Andersson Signature$665.00
“For many years I was asked to design my own flyrods. Here is the result – the Signature-series, made from the same fibre and technology as the Opti-series. The rods have a somewhat deeper action that bends down through the handle when fully loaded, together with a short piston stroke that allows an early stop.
The rods are easy to use and suit all kinds of fly-fishers, but give you, who have the technical abilities, an improved angle performance – without any loss of power during the forward cast. To fish with the Signature-rods is like poetry for your body and soul. You can almost feel how the rod is speaking to you, then you just hang on.”
His words don’t lie. When fully loading this rod you can feel the flex right down into the cork. Göran Andersson is a legend and his experience and knowledge really shine through when you put this rod into the hands of someone that knows what to do with it!
LOOP Cross S1$795.00 – $865.00Rated 5.00 out of 5
The new Loop Cross S1 fly rod series is the single most important revolution to occur in fly fishing since we introduced the large arbor reel over 20 years ago. Yes, it’s that big.
If the large arbor provided revolutionary function that made the fly reel exponentially better, you won’t believe the difference Cross S1 construction makes with fly rods. We could write an entire book on the adventure that has led to the Cross S1 series of fly rods. We could look up and write down all the available superlatives that are yet unused by other manufacturers (not many left nowadays), but the only way to truly describe what we mean is to hand one to you and let you test it for yourself.
If there has ever been a time in our history of development of high-performance fly fishing gear where Loop merited a “look” and a test from the fly fishing world, it is now. Over a period of two years we have developed these fly rods where we used the new 3M™ Powerlux™ Composites. The result is amazing, the strength associated with the 3M™ Powerlux™ Composites generates a lightness and controllable elasticity that simply must be experienced.
We have carefully restricted the inherent elasticity of the Loop Cross S1 so that the rod is working evenly over a much wider range than other fly rods. We have managed to make super-strong featherweight fly rods, with an emphasis on fishing where the rod is working with minimum vibration through an entire load range – from close-in and out to even extreme distances. The design requires minimal input power where the rod does the job. It has never been so easy and taken so little effort to deliver precision loops at 10-meters or 30-meters while easily controlling the line or changing the pace of the cast.
